How it works

A pre-loaded podcast episode plays in the UI. Press start and a worker transcribes the audio in your browser using Whisper (WebGPU/WASM). The transcript appears alongside the player with click-to-seek timestamps.

  1. 1The UI shows a random podcast episode ready to play
  2. 2Press the "start" button to begin transcription
  3. 3The worker processes the audio entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded
  4. 4While it's processing, the UI explains what's happening and why transcription is useful
  5. 5When it finishes, the transcript appears alongside the player
  6. 6Click any line to jump to that moment in the audio

Why it matters

Most podcast content is trapped inside audio. Transcription unlocks it — making episodes searchable, quotable, and accessible. This demo runs entirely on your device to show that private compute is real, not marketing.
